Natalie Turner is a mezzo soprano from Warwick, Rhode Island currently based in Baltimore, Maryland. Natalie is known for her commanding presence on stage. In combination with her statuesque height, Natalie dives into “pants roles” with ease.
Natalie has portrayed many notable characters, including Enfant in Revel’s “L’Enfant et sortilege,” Cherubino in Mozart’s “Le Nozze de Figaro,” Hänsel in Humperdinck’s “Hänsel und Gretel,” Robert Schumann in Stucky’s “The Classical Style,” and Ottone in Monteverdi’s “L’incornazione di Poppea.” Natalie has also performed opera scenes from Bellini’s “I Capuleti e I Montecchi” in the role of Romeo and Massent’s “Cendrillon” in the role of Prince Charmant.
Natalie earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, summa cum laude, from SUNY Purchase and earned her Master of Music in vocal performance from the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. Natalie received the Anita Erdman Award for Opera from the Peabody Conservatory,
